Hello,
Is it also true for an amateur shot ?
is an unperfect shot more affected by the weather?
We have try to compare our distances in the summer and during the cold season at the driving range .
The lost of distance with the irons and woods is much more than the yard you talk about.
Thanks for your opinion

He actually stated that a tempature change from 40 degrees to 100 degrees is about a 10 yard difference. Also stated that it could be even more due to the loss of elasticity of the golf ball at compression, loss of speed due to inflexible misled in the cold, and lastly a loss of range of motion or hindering of it due to more clothes in the cold. So the difference between 100 degrees to 40 degrees is actually even more depending on all those a factors.
Phil Mickelson says that on a hot day his 8 iron will fly 10 yards further and that fits right in with what you just proved to us, It was 8+1+1=10
