When and why did you start playing golf?
I started playing golf in 1980 with my father, but it quickly became my favorite sport from 1982 onwards. I think the individual side of golf and all the technical research appealed to me very early on and has never left.
What was your HCP when you turned Pro?
0
Which is your favorite golf course?
There are so many, but Le Golf National in Paris has to be one of them.
Do you have a favorite coach you follow and why?
James Leitz and David Orr are two of my major influences. Its great to be able to listen to coaches who think outside the box.
Who is your favorite player and why?
Tiger ! He’s simply the best and has changed this game for ever.
What is your best golf related achievement?
Opening my own clubfitting and research center
As a golf coach, what is the most common mistake among players you see?
A misunderstanding of what makes the ball do what it does.
What are your greatest professional strengths?
An inquisitive mind.
What’s in your bag?
Right now my bag is empty, but ill be filling it up very soon.
How often do you play golf yourself?
For the last year, with the opening of my center, very little. Hopefully that will change this year.
What has changed since you started working with a TrackMan?
My undersatnding of ball flight laws and how to optimize the information.
Which is your favorite TrackMan feature, and why?
There are many, but working inside, impact location is absolutely obligatory for me. All the ball flight data is modified by small deviations of ball contact quality. Having data on impact is number one for me.

My center is at J Lawson golf research center,
6 rue Esnault Pelterie, 92100, Boulogne Billancourt, France.
Jlawsongolfpro@gmail.com or via my website: jlawsongolf.com
Do you have any suggestions, how TrackMan can do better or differently?
More information on impact point. D plane for putting ( i know thats coming ;) )
Would you like to be the next TrackMan coach of the month?
All you have to do is sign up on TrackMan University and complete Level 1,
we will randomly pick a new coach every month.
