Chris Moss explaining how to hit the low Tiger Woods stinger shot.

Great video. The Tiger stinger under Foley was different however. Foley wanted Tiger to neutralise his path not using alignment but with swing plane. This is why Tiger always made these exaggerated over the top practice swings. For me the demonstration in this video is the best and easiest way to hit the stinger as the swing essentially stays the same. It’s one of my favourite shots to play.
Chris you mention nothing about the club face aim at address nor impact when playing this shot. When I lean the shaft forward the face twists clockwise – this moves the clubface right. This further increases when I moved the ball back in the stance. Also, with the ball back in my stance I am returning back to the ball sooner than normal which is causing the face to be open. It would be great to mention what clubs are used to play this shot with and can you expect an average strength female golfer to play this shot or is this mainly for strong people.
Hi Andrea, at 3.20 I mention the club face must remain square to target in the setup. I have made longer videos explaining in more detail all the technical ins and out but sadly they last 10-12 minutes which I have found loses audience retention. I will most certainly be making more videos in the future to explain in greater detail, if you would like me cover any aspects please let me know. Many thanks
