To determine impact location, four parameters are needed: the ball position before impact, the precise time of impact, the position of the clubhead at impact, and the center position of the club face markers (groove lines).
1. The ball position before impact is determined using both radar and camera.
2. Precise time of impact is determined with TM4’s ultra high sampling frequency of 40.000 samples per second.
3. The position of the club head at impact is determined through 4D silhouette clubhead tracking with TM4’s high frequency impact radar combined with clubhead tracking by the internal camera (OERT … Optically Enhanced Radar Tracking).
4. The center position of the club face is defined through an offset in relation to the hosel. This offset typically doesn’t vary a lot between club models, so for most users the standard values will be fine. However, it can be changed in the TrackMan software
Is it very different from what a Daktarin or School spray can do for 7€/bottle ???
