TITLEIST TO LAUNCH BALL OPTIMIZED FOR TRACKMAN INDOOR USE

GOLF BALL MANUFACTURER TITLEIST HAS, IN CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH TRACKMAN, DEVELOPED A TITLEIST PRO V1 RCT AND PRO V1X RCT GOLF BALL OPTIMIZED FOR TRACKMAN INDOOR USE. USING RADAR CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY, THE BALLS WILL TRANSFORM THE GAME OF GOLF INDOORS ENABLING SERIOUS PRACTICE, FITTING, COACHING AND INDOOR TOURNAMENT PLAY.

Golf ball manufacturer Titleist will on October 20 launch a new ball in collaboration with market-leading sports technology company TrackMan, which will transform the indoor golf experience for players of all skill levels. The Titleist Pro V1 RCT and Pro V1x RCT balls have been engineered, with the help of a team of experts from TrackMan, to improve precision performance and golf ball data from TrackMan units used in an indoor setting. Pro V1RCT and Pro V1x RCT are expected to become the No1 ball in the indoor golf environment, emulating its on-course equivalent.

“The Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x RCT golf balls connect the greatest combination of speed, spin, and feel in the game to consistently capture precision performance and golf ball data from TrackMan units used indoors around the world,” said Jeremy Stone, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing. “We have worked closely with TrackMan to optimize this embedded radar reflective technology over the past two years.”

“We’re delighted to partner with Acushnet on the launch of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x RCT golf balls,” said TrackMan CEO and co-founder, Klaus Eldrup-Jorgensen. “Titleist is a brand that goes to extraordinary heights to ensure the premium quality of its product and that mirrors TrackMan’s approach to technology, innovation and development.”

The RCT golf balls have been developed for dedicated indoor fitting specialists committed to a premium, precision fitting experience, coaches aiming to give their clients even better tools to work with and Tour pros for their indoor practice sessions.

The RCT golf balls, which do not require applying reflective spin markers or pre-shot orientation, will benefit golf facilities that operate a TrackMan simulator and are seeking to enhance the golfer experience.

“The RCT golf balls include the same design, materials, quality manufacturing, and most importantly the identical performance as every non-RCT Pro V1 and Pro V1x, with enhanced indoor radar signal capture,” added Stone

RCT balls have already been approved by the USGA as conforming for outdoor use. That means players will be able to play the balls both indoor and outdoor at any tournament without risk of disqualification. “The launch is timed nicely with the start of the indoor season,” said Eldrup-Jorgensen. “The simulator environment is growing more and more each year and we think new developments like this can only be good for the game’s development as it offers so many business and leisure opportunities during the off-season.”
